Getting paid for foster kids is big business! My neighbor had 5. Got paid $150/day plus the agencey paid $22K to put in a new furnace/AC/windows and insulation in his old beat up home in a crack hood. Plus $1000/month in food stamps and the church food bank gave them about $200/week in free food.This was a nurse and computer IT tech with a take home pay of about $70K/year!!
That's $75,600/year from the state + $70K/year income (not to mention the tax break for the 5 kids...)
