@popparoc46 AUUGGGGHHH I hate that. I tend to be one of those dense kind of ppl. If you don't come straight out and tell me what I did and when I did it I will never get it if you just hint. Heck I'm lucky if I even remember it.
So thankful that we get to pick our friends. Although I will say my immed. family is pretty good, I got an aunt and some cousins though that are the same way so I can totally empathize.

@Ultimatecruegirl My extended family is bizarre, Rose. I have to walk on eggshells in fear that my sense of humour offends or I say something that is misunderstood. If that happens, no one ever tells me they are "offended". They just go away and don't answer the phone and I have to puzzle out what went wrong. I am fatigued with all the drama and am close to just washing my hands of it all. (sigh) Yeah. Teenagers when they are 40 (step-daughter) aren't any fun. - roc

@SugarInHisBlood Just "12" would be fine for me. Grand children. Yeah. My granddaughter is 18 now.
'Course, I was VERY young when she was born.
heh.

I was entertained in spite of your efforts.
Happy '12 to you. (That sounds wrong).
I don't think I have seen Modern Family. I may have to try to see some of it.
I hope you get to see your granddaughter. How is someone so busy that they cannot take time to have a meal? You have to eat! Why can't it be a meal out with your grandparents?

@silverscreamgrl You're right. Happy '12 is weird! Modern Family has made us both laugh out loud. The gay couple with the adopted baby is absolutely hilarious.
Still have not seen Taylor. I've called six times now... and I'm not going to beg. When she needs something, she will call. The last call, I said we would pick her up, take her for lunch and return her. Nothing.

@popparoc46 hmm. When she 'needs something' perhaps not returning her first six calls may work. Just saying. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
My oldest brother is like that. Never hear from him until he needs something. That irritates me more than it does my dad, but I think because it irritates me, it now irritates him (lol).

@silverscreamgrl ha ha ha! My sister says I need to make a bigger effort. She says something is "wrong" with Jennifer and it has rubbed off onto Taylor. I am not feeling very charitable... BUT, I am the first to offer the advice of "just accept all responsibility and fix it" when someone complains of a family estrangement to me. I can't seem to find that within myself. I'm just tired of it all, Beth.

@silverscreamgrl OH, PS: The sharp-skinned hawk just did a dive bomb past our feeder, turned sharply in the air and landed in the nearby tree. He is hunting!

I haven't been in the mood much lately either.. I will try to vlog tomorrow though.. I have not seen Modern Family.. I'll check it out..We had dinner with our son for New Years Eve and once they went home, it was a boring evening. Sorry you didn't get to connect with your granddaughter.. They go through some strange stages..Today was my dad's birthday and I took him cake and ice-cream and we had a little celebration for him.. It was fun! Hope tomorrow is better for us both! :))
