Dark Matter Distortion aims to give you that powerful, super-musical roar of an early plexi - a sound that will satisfy even the pickiest players out there. We are confident we have achieved just that, and this is one of those pedals you have to try to believe what it can actually do for your distorted sounds.

  • tc, please upload something better than 360p. The audio in 360p on youtube sucks.

  • With me personally, I prefer individual pedals; I like seeing where everything's set so I can make little mental notes for myself reflecting on the tone.

I think these pedals are an excellent idea!

  • @jerseystringer - We very much appreciate the feedback - I'm having a meeting with the product manager on monday, and I'll definitely bring this up. Thanks again and have a nice weekend.

  • @tcelectronic Thank you very much. Feel free to contact me if you need clarification. Basically the Distortion is much louder than the Overdrive in the default settings. Since the Nova already has a boost, it seems unnecessary. I would expect some kick added to both distortion and OD, since they effectively compress by clipping, but there shouldn't be a major boost, and they should be approximately the same. Best regards. PS - TC makes great stuff. Thanks for passing the feedback along.

  • @jerseystringer Levels should start level. I agree - I'll pass on your comment to the relevant people. Thanks for the feedback!

  • @patlmable 'Noisy' - Is not something we've heard before, sounds as if there might be a technical issue? - Could you contact the dealer who sold you the pedal, or at least our support, please? - But it's true that it's not super high gain. - We introduced the Röttweiler to cover that ground.

  • @patlmable Thanks, the noise part concerns me. I think the tone in the video is excellent. As for gain, TC makes one with higher gain. This is the middle of the road zone I'm looking for. I have not taken a lot of time with the Nova System, but the distortion (analog or not) does not sound good to me. I'm also unhappy with the relative levels of overdrive vs distortion. Why should more distortion mean higher output? I'd expect that from Zoom, not TC. Levels should start "level."

  • i recently bought the dark matter , keep your money , very disapointed. Very low gain distortion and noisy!

  • @jerseystringer It's analog. in both. - wether you can achieve the same sound on the Nova system.. You might be able to come close, but I don't think it's the same circuit.

  • Can I recreate the Dark Matter distortion sounds with the TC Nova System? Or is it a completely different circuit? Is it analog or digital, or some of each? Thanks.

  • @92stone It's and analog drive pedal.

  • Is this a modeler
