Is it just me, or does it sound like he's on a meter and can't spew the words out quick enough before the money runs out? If I could understand more than 25% of what he was saying, I might have even got the point..

You left out the part where they find out that the death star is really just the sun and its "death rays" are really just solar flares that come and go over the years.
Oh, and the really cool part about when the environmentalists start writing e-mails to each other about how best to fool people into believing in their "Death Star Theory". That's the best part.

While I don't know if I agree with the point he seems to be ironicly, if not so subtly, hammering upon, I empathise with the authors sence of general exasperation with activist culture.

I've been an Anarchist for about 10 years now and I've got to say, the left in general has *a lot* of issues with middle class wankerdom and adolescant angst getting in the way of *actually getting something done*.

Unfortunately, until the real workers get up off the sidelines this isn't going to change.
