Note: Closing credits (only) were corrected in this version. The Blessed Sacrament Golden Knights Junior Drum and Bugle Corps (1946 - 1973) were winners of 9 National Championships, 19 NJ State Championships, 11 National Dream Championships, and the first World Open Champions (1963). BSGK placed first or second in more than 80 percent of all contests from 1954 on. The corps won 9 of 13 Nationals from 1954 through 1963, and between 1954 and 1970 placed in the top 4 in 18 out of 21 Nationals. From 1958 through 1963 B.S. placed first 112 times in 135 contests.
My VERY favorite Drum Corps.......EVER!! What a fantastic drum line. If my parents would have allowed me to travel to NJ I would have marched there in 1970 and maybe after that too. As fate would have it I marched in St. Rita's Brassmen's snare line (1970, '71, '72 and '73). Not such a terrible Corps..... :)

Excuse the pun, but these guys were the "gold standard" from when they won their very first nationals in 1954. Everything after that was, and remains "interesting", to include today's b flat band "corps."
