Crops have withered, livestock suffered, men, women and children gotten thirstier and thinner while the ground has become barren. Long and strenuous treks in pursuit of the essential resource are common to Kajiado residents and the herds of cattle that accompany them in their course. To ease the overwhelming burden that has become part of life of the Nomads, the European Union has constructed a borehole in the region. Since the commissioning of the borehole, life has changed for the residents who no longer have to travel long distances to get enough water to drink, wash and for their livestock.

  • wanzungu's are helping kenya very well. Thanks to German comrades!

  • Its a shame that even such a small project would require foreign experts. But without them, all the money would end up somewhere else.

  • we got our Independence too soon

  • This is shameful to all of us Kenyans. Are we afraid to think, or we cant think?
