Lucy's run-in with William Holden once they have arrived in L.A. appears to support the misconception of the early relationship between film and television.
However, Holden's very appearance in the episode demonstrates how the film industry actually embraced the new medium.
Do they still have Brown Derby restaurants anymore?

2:46 I love how Lucy turned perfectly right up to Williams face. Great classic comedy.

After all these years, to still be giving us the gift of laughter and joy. And what a great sport William Holden was to take that pie! And what a professional; I've watched this clip slowed down and even at the moment of impact, he didn't even flinch.

This is my all-time favorite episode. I would be exactly like Lucy and Ethel watching for movie stars, were the Derby open and still the "hot spot" for celebs today!

@JubalCalif I know that Lucy worked with the Three Stooges and probably learned from them some of her comic material.
