Interaction Design Institute Ivrea takes part for the second time in the Genova Festival della scienza. The Institute has designed four booths for the Telecom Italia area in the Piazza delle Feste.
The first booth features three thesis projects by Institute graduates from the master in interaction design: wearable technologies, objects for apparently magical websurfind and software to get faraway relatives a bit closer. The other three booths present a digital mosaic workshop for children aged seven to thirteen, a pebble game for creating graphical and audio landscapes, and a virtual aquarium. Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, drawing inspiration from the works of M.C. Escher and the natural characteristics of Genova, has designed the exhibition language and the gadget system for the Telecom Italia space. The gadgets, in the form of small multicolored plastic fishes, enable the interaction with the virtual aquarium. They are distributed to children at the entrance of every booth.
