Punch Out!! (Wii) - TD Super Macho Man (1:13.94) [CM]

CM = Champion's Mode

So I ended up getting a nice sub 1:14 time on this guy with a new tweak discovered pretty much by accident. I forgot the strategy for this guy since I haven't played him for so long, so I sent a message asking shunkolar what it was. In the meantime, I just tried to remember it without looking up kefkamaydie's video. I didn't know how to do phase 3, so I just grabbed any star I could. This ended up getting me a way faster time (about 1:16.xx) compared to kefka's 1:17.xx

I thought that was the tweak if any on this guy, but I got the reply saying his tweak was in phase 1! He uses a punch to skip one of Macho's attacks, and goddamn it's a tough one to get to work. Using both, I got this video.

I'm certain this is beatable, mainly because of how much I hesitated in the last 2 punches, but some of my dodges could've been faster.

At 1:13, why did you use your star punch and get knocked down instead of getting another star and TKO-ing him?

Because he does a spin punch that wastes time to counter. But if you get knocked down there, he starts right away with an attack that you can get a star from.
