Beatrice Arthur Tribute: 1922-2009

This is a tribute to an amazing lady: Beatrice Arthur. She passed away today (Saturday, April 25, 2009) in her home with her family beside her. She had cancer.

She was our tall, smart "Golden Girl", Dorothy Zbornak, on the TV Series "The Golden Girls", where she co-starred with actresses Betty White, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty. She also was the title character in the TV series "Maude". She was a very talented Broadway performer, and has won both Emmys and Tonys.

She will be greatly missed by all of us.

I cried when I heard she died. I loved her. She was a wonderful and hilarious actress, and I loved all the time she spent sticking up for animals!

Its these tributes that make me realize that she's really gone. i mean I wake up eat breakfast go on youtube watch Golden girls, and then feel that hollow empty feeling as if somethings missing, and i realize hey wait Bea's dead, and so's Estelle. So i leave a comment like this so that everyone who watches will read it, and so that everyone who reads this will remember her, as that wonderful lady who got to wear the white dress.
