WOW that is some pretty amazing aerial footage:)

Highly interesting because of the helix form the clouds formed around the funnel in the early stages (the tornado itself is inside the helix), then the tornado being visible, partially visible and invisible in different stages, the tornado's slow progress forward and the second funnel cloud in the sky from which emerged a suction vortex like a writhing snake. Although notable, the suction vortex on the ground which seemed to be circling and attacking a tree, finally yanking it from the earth.

It wasn't one of the first, it was the first time a tornado was caught on tape from the air and NOAA grabbed that tape because it was worth it's weight in gold. I was working in South Minneapolis that day, and got off work about 20 minutes after it hit and rode my motrocycle up to Brooklyn Park to check out the damage.

omg I was ten when this happened. the first tornado I ever was in. My family was in town visiting some friends and I remember watching some parade when these giant sirens went off...and later I got to see a car floating down the street.. wow. the memories....

I lived less than a mile from the nature center when that occurred. I remember it as if it were yesterday. I was six or seven years old and that was one of the CRAZIEST experiences you could live through.
It was LOUD. I've heard many peoples say it sounds like a freight-train headed for your living room and THAT IS EXACTLY how it sounded. I remember my younger brother asking my mom "Mom, is that a TRAIN"?!
Afterward, the devastation was immense. It was also very dark and strangely QUIET.

It is a spectacle ... This is a spectacle ... as said the man. This is probably the most beautiful tornadoes have ever seen.
