BBC Breakfast News on Peter Morrison's invention, the Leaf Log

Excerpt from the BBC Breakfast News, introducing Peter Morrison, the Birmingham based inventor and his product "Leaf Log".

Leaf Logs are an environmentally friendly biomass, a renewable and sustainable source of energy in the form of solid fuel which is suitable for homes and industry.

Leaf Logs are made from naturaly fallen leaves, have a heat out put of 28 kilojoules per kilogram and can be used on wood burning /multi fuel stoves, chimineas and for recreational use such as camp fires.

Each unit burns for up to 3 hours and can be used as an environment friendly alternative to wood or coal as no trees need to be cut and no coal has to be extracted from mines.

Leaf Logs are clean burning and 70% carbon neutral, as tested by npower uk.

The Leaf log has proved it has a place along side solar, wind and wave as a renewable sustainable energy sources for the future.

what a retarded idea, even if they go to landfill...they are biodegradable, there is nothing greener than burying them.

The leaf log is hardly a new idea, its been produced all over the world for years...but unless we are all going back to wood burning its pointless.

Mulching them is a great way to improve your lawn as well...i can't believe the council is pissing money against the wall in these economic times with crap like that.
