  • What Uke did you use?

  • This is an old Martin style 3K ukulele

  • I'm one of the Digital Projects staff at the Mississippi State Libraries. So awesome to see some of the work of my colleagues come to life! I hope lots of musicians and historians can use that sheet music collection to better the craft. Very nicely done, sir!

  • Thanks so much for providing the excellent online resource. There are many forgotten treasures there ready for rediscovery. It's clear a huge amount of labor and love went into that web site.

  • Really neat tune. So old it's new. lol

Did you develop a chord chart to go with that ... or just go note by note and see what the melody is? If you have a chord chart could you post it?

  • I didn't write anything down, but there was a strong guitar part on the cassette I learned the tune from, so I guess I had the chords in my head. I just posted some chords in the "more info" section.

  • That ol' uke really speaks on this one.

  • I must second that... as a ragtime pianist, I get a lot of music from this website you have helped with! A great resource! Thank you!

  • Wow - thank you so much. I definitely saved those. Notation plus chords. I see a fake sheet in my future with some fun playing.

  • MARVELLOUS!!!
