Speech at Korean School

Here's a video of my speech at my Korean class. This is 6 months into the class. I was in the Adult Beginner class.

I began with a speech, then sang a song. The song is called "White Snow" by Eru.

안녕하세요. 여러분 처음 뵙겠습니다. 제 이름은 알렉스입니다. 저는 열여덟 살입니다.
Hello. It's nice to meet you all. My name is Alex. I am 18 years old.

저는 밴쿠버 한국어 학교 성인 초급반의 학생입니다. 저는 지금 팔 개월 동안 한국어를 배우고 있습니다.
I'm a student in the Adult Beginner class at Vancouver Korean School. I have been studying Korean for 8 months now.

고등학교 다닐 때 제 제일 친한 친구가 한국인이었습니다. 그래서, 한국말을 배우고 싶었지만 한국어 학교가 어디 있는지 몰라서 가지 못 했었습니다. 작년에 이 학교를 찾아내게 되어 기뻤습니다.
In high school, my best friend was Korean. Therefore, I wanted to learn Korean. However, I didn't know where a Korean school was so I wasn't able to. I'm glad that I found this school last year.

요즘 건축 일을 하고 있는데 올 해 구 월에 UBC에 다니려고 합니다. 문학을 전공하고 싶습니다. 저는 한국어와 일본어와 중국어와 불어를 배우고 싶습니다.
Nowadays I work in construction. In September of this year I will attend UBC. I want to get a Bachelor of Arts degree. I want to learn Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and French.

저는 지난 12월 27일부터 1월 19일까지 한국에서 지냈습니다. 서울과 강화와 전주와 익산에 갔었습니다. 저는 여행을 너무 좋아합니다. 그리고 명동에서 가수 이루를 만났었습니다.
I was in Korea from December 27th to January 19th. I went to Seoul, Ganghwa, Jeonju, and Iksan. I enjoyed my trip very much. Also, I met the singer Eru while I was in Myeongdong.

저는 노래하는 것을 좋아합니다. 제가 제일 좋아하는 가수는 이루입니다. 지금 가수 이루의 노래 "흰눈"을 불러 보겠습니다.
I like to sing. My favorite singer is Eru. Now I will sing Eru's song "White Snow."

wow, you are great!!! You speak better than my australian born neices...I should send this to my nieces so they will learn from you....so many Koreans deny Korean identity and want to be fully westernised....You put so many Koreans to shame....good on you.
