@KevinThornTV My suggestion is that you invest in three high quality choir mics and keep them close to the group during recording. It makes it easier for your group to hear internal blend, and the mixing process is just as simple. If you don't believe me, try listening to some other groups online that use choir mics. You'll find that their blend is much more together.

@KevinThornTV 2. You have got to STOP individually mic'ing your group! I understand it's a capella tradition, but it truly ruins the effect of a choir. The point of a choir is to make ONE sound, not to mix together different sounds.

@KevinThornTV 1. Work on dynamic contrast. There is slight contrast happening hear, but not nearly enough to create the effect that was originally intended in this song. It's what really makes that moment at the end so emotional.

im sure it was great live. terribly recorded tho. its about blend. not hearing everyone separately

they slowly get faster and faster. other than that very nice in my opinion
ummmm...check out the Fleet Foxes...they do a great version of this one.
