200 lb 3rd grade boy (8 years old) is taken from mother and put into foster care. This doctor (Joanna Dolgoff) is in complete denial and seems more interested in pushing her weight loss clinic. The kid is fat because he eats too much.
The monster, is the American governments FDA. Google MSG and obesity. It's in everything packaged or canned. Too much TV and video games is even more of a problem. Taking a child from their parents is far traumatic than being fat.
@AndrewDeLong I support states doing as their people see fit. If the state believes this to be an emergency I am in full support. I would want it gone around differently, but that is just me. The pizza thing I found hilarious! Lobbyists 1000 and American people 0! With regards to Herman Cain I merely use that as an example that even hatred will allow you to be popular. Anyway, my only fear is in the Federal Government making edicts upon what is negligent. That is a bad road mate. Cheers
@YaHuWaHservant On that pizza issue, I just have to point out that congress (the Federal level of government) passed that idiotic measure. The agency that took that child out of the hands of the mother is a state level agency, and acts *mostly* independently of congress, saved for general, broad rules and regs that CPS must abide by.
As for Herman Cain, I take that man about as seriously as a mosquito bite. (nothing to do with color, just the man).
@AndrewDeLong Also let's remark on the humor that comes along with the fact that shyness is now a medical condition in children and that pizza is a vegetable. With that regards legally this 200 pound boy probably got an excellent diet in terms of the "vegetables" he partook of.
@AndrewDeLong You truly believe that? Perhaps you are right. Then again as our government just passed a bill that allows for the indefinite detainment of American citizens I will disagree that they would have a hard time doing much else. Herman Cain has gotten points for saying he would not let Muslims in his Cabinet, so the people are not so quick to go against religious hatred, as long as it is not their own of course, nonetheless you may be right.
@YaHuWaHservant Actually, speaking as a product of homeschooling & hunting, it would be rather difficult to argue against those things objectively. As for religion, no Government official in their right mind would touch that, for fear of MASSIVE reprise. Vaccination is a closed issue that has been dealt with publicly already. Guns is about the only argument you have that MIGHT stick, & even that is a big MIGHT.
Making these arguments *objectively* is harder than you think.
@AndrewDeLong Really? You don't think anyone Government bureaucrat could make the argument that home school could be neglecting the child a proper education? That refusing "recommended" vaccines is neglecting the child's health? That teaching religion teaches division with groups of people? That teaching about guns is neglecting the child's safety? That eating things like dear hunted or drinking raw milk is neglecting the child's nutrition? I think it would be very easy.
Doctor = Typical ignorant American.

I'm assuming the boy was given a thorough medical
examination; also, social workers had worked with
the mother for 20 months. It's interesting that the boy
lost 8 pound during his time in foster care. He is now
living with his uncle.
