Hi Maangchi, I was a little concerned when I first saw you use mugwort in another recipe (I thought it was dangerous) but I learned via Wikipedia that it is totally safe and a very popular ingredient in Korea for different foods! :)

@fantaztika Man, at the local korean store, they sell tubs of Mugwort pickled, seasoned you buy by the pound if you want.

My mom does the same thing, if she sees a herb or something useful she just walks up and just tries to harvest it.
-
@CastlevaniaGirl Yes, I grew some this year. Ordered the seeds off of the internet.

I wish I could make this with the mugworts that grow in Harvest Moon. :P

@Maangchi im not sure to trust myself! haha i dont want to be too confident, eat it, then get poisoned
i may be wrong....but mugwort looks like that type of plant that just grows around anywhere. i was strolling in a park and found a plant that looked kinda like it. it had white fuzzy things in the back...and had a bitter herby scent.

Maangchi, shouldnt mugwort be consumed in very small amounts ? I always thought it was only used for medicinal purposes because it is very strong?
fantaztika 10 months ago
@fantaztika No problem. Buy it at a Korean grocery store. There are a few different kinds of mugwort. If you like to make this soup or the snack, buy it at a Korean grocery store.
