Alex Smoke Live @ Break & Enter, Toronto (08.09.08) Part 1

Alex Smoke, one of the premiere live techno artists in the world, performs minimal techno at Break & Enter. After an eight month wait, The Smoke returned to Toronto, Canada for a proper beat-down.
His set was brilliant, hip-shaking, complex and carefully thought-out without being methodically artificial, preserving the essence of live music. He unleashed a fierce combination of smooth, deep and melodic techno and harder, pounding throwbacks.
This was one of the best parties of the summer. The positive energy was immediately evident as I entered the intimate, tucked away spot. The visuals, decor and art pieces enhanced the experience without engendering a stuffy, exclusive atmosphere. Visuals courtesy of Wustenarchitekten.
