This is my second video on Kamui vs. Masters Chalk. I really feel that Kamui chalk has an advantage. How much of an advantage is unclear and for $28 a cube vs. about .25cts for Masters it should maybe be more than is shown here. I feel like I didn't do a very good job on the first video so this one is hopefully a little better with a little more structure. I personally think that Kamui is going to have a hard time justifying this to the average player based on words alone. Anyone who wants to duplicate this test can set the balls in the same positions and it will be very clear how far out you have to hit on the ball to get the same action on the cue ball.

I also want to mention that the cloth is much slower than Simonis 860 and slower than SuperPro. It's in between 860 and Mali cloth for those of you who are interested.

  • you must be kidding, what a Joke. This tells nothing about Kamui Chalk but does tell me Masters does the same no matter how you tweak your stroke.

What were you hoping to learn? I was just doing the same shot with both types of chalk to observe what happened. For me at the moment Kamui chalk is a feel thing and not really a big performance thing. However since I know for a fact that Master's chalk is widely counterfeited I would definitely feel better having my Kamui chalk with me as a backup if I didn't like the chalk provided. I think it's better than Masters but no way is it 100x the price better in my opinion.

  • what kind of table is that?

  • @TheTangoTony

It's a King Browns. Basically a hybrid of several Brunswick styles. Costs about $1500 and plays decent. Local company to me so they customized the rails for me with the birdseye laminate.

  • how about another video showing draw shots with english. by the way, try also comparing the kamui with a longoni blue diamond chalk.

  • @arpeemac

I don't plan to become the chalk comparison source. I compared these because I wanted to see for myself what happens given all the hype and controversy surrounding Kamui Chalk. I have nothing against capitalism but if something is so much more in price then it should be tested thoroughly by consumers to see if it's really worth it.

  • I thought you did a good job with this video. Basically I saw 30 balls of about the same thing. I think the difference, if there is one, is minimal. I would like to see this done using Blue Diamond chalk.

  • @arpeemac See the first video I did. Plenty of draw with spin

  • back hand english... good technique

  • Nice job, John!
