02/23/12: SB458 Reaction by U.S. Rep. John Lewis (D-GA): "Time for students to make some noise"

The GA Senate Judiciary Committee voted to move forward GA's version of the ANTI-DREAM Act, SB458. This bill would ban access to higher education to all colleges and universities in the state of Georgia to undocumented students. There are tens of thousands of immigrant students who would be negatively impacted. Currently, only 300 out of 310,000 undocumented students are in the university system paying out-of-state tuition, which is more than their fair share. The bill unfairly targets the dreams and hopes of immigrant youth. Please share this video with others and take action by calling your Georgia Senator.
