@Wright805 thank you. strange to think that that comment of mine sat around youtube for a year before your response.

@kalevraa Well said.

@Apossession yes i know there were some gay pedophile samurai. its weird how several great warrior cultures had things like that. like the spartans and the zande.
but many samurai were not like that. however, homosexuality was not looked down upon though as i am now aware of. so i wouldnt say it was "rather gay" just not homophobic.

@umidontno040394 Since you are an expert on Saumurai Honor, I assume you have seen this: [Wikipedia-Homosexuality in Japan] "The older partner, in the role of nenja, would teach the wakashū martial skills, warrior etiquette, and the samurai code of honor, while his desire to be a good role model for his wakashū would lead him to behave more honorably himself; thus a shudō relationship was considered to have a "mutually ennobling effect". It seems Samurai Honor was rather gay, wouldn't you say?

@umidontno040394 i like to think that what i think is based on something factual, something that can be shown to exist. in my youth, i used to be quite homophobic, mainly through ignorance, partly through desire to be "normal". well, i'm 48, and i like to think that i have learned a few things since then. clinging to your beliefs regardless of facts does not show strength. is shows weakness, fear, stagnation, and narrow-mindedness. and wanting to be like others is for insecure teenagers.
