If you've spent any time online you've no doubt encountered the Furries. Whether it's their art or their animal costumes, they tend to stand out. But are they really just a bunch of perverts dressed like wolves, or could they possibly be a normal, though misunderstood, fandom.

This was the most accurate and unbiased documentary I've seen of furries in a long while, given what you were able to film. In my 15 years of drawing the art and wearing a costume at cons, you pegged it. It's just fun harmless folks that know each other online hanging out. We're all lame and kinda dull. I haven't seen anything shocking that I haven't seen at a sci-fi con or an anime con. Furry cons are social. The characters are usually original creations, not based on a franchise.

If you're not into Furry, Furry is lame. Same is true of Anime and all other fandoms. So there's not much point in Furs trying to tell you what the attraction is. If you're not into it, you're not going to get it.

@PerriRhoades This is kind of our point. Anime fans attack furries. Comic book fans attack anime fans. Star Wars fans attack comic book fans... When, objectively, all of these fandoms are "stupid" to anyone who has no vested interest in them. They're really just all the same. So arbitrarily pigeonholing Furries as perverts is unfair. That is the main idea we were trying to express.

I think this was a fair outsider's look into the furry fandom. I see nothing wrong with this documentary, and as a furry, agree with most of what was said. We need to stop being so damn uptight.

The reason furries wont let u interview them is because the psychological part of being a furry is not being comfortable with yourself, thats why most dress up and want to be that way so badly. people already so introverted being ridiculed as agressivly as they are a bound to NOT let you interview them. I dont see whats so hard about that to understand. And on their side they need to understand most people are fucking assholes on the internet who would never say shit to their face

I was never really into furries until i started making them on IMVU for other users to wear... Im also a huge anime fan... And i think anime fans like it cuz of nekos in shows and stuff... I like it cuz i like to b creative when i draw furs because u can b more creative with furs than humans. I dont think ill eva wear a full body suiy but i want paws x3!!! But yeah i dont see many people atleast on imvu wanting to b furry for sexual reasons but for being creative... :3

@Truffletops I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It's kind of a vicious circle; cons will not relax their media rules because of fear of being exploited - and the media is even more eager to exploit the group because of such restrictions and rules... Elusive and secretive = more intrigue.
