Lyrics :

This world will never be
What I expected
And if I don't belong
Who would have guessed it
I will not leave alone
Everything that I own
To make you feel like it's not too late
It's never too late

Even if I say
It'll be alright
Still I hear you say
You want to end your life
Now and again we try
To just stay alive
Maybe we'll turn it all around
'Cause it's not too late
It's never too late

No one will ever see
This side reflected
And if there's something wrong
Who would have guessed it
And I have left alone
Everything that I own
To make you feel like
It's not too late
It's never too late

Even if I say
It'll be alright
Still I hear you say
You want to end your life
Now and again we try
To just stay alive
Maybe we'll turn it all around
'Cause it's not too late
It's never too late

The world we knew
Won't come back
The time we've lost
Can't get back
The life we had
Won't be ours again

This world will never be
What I expected
And if I don't belong

Even if I say
It'll be alright
Still I hear you say
You want to end your life
Now and again we try
To just stay alive
Maybe we'll turn it all around
'Cause it's not too late
It's never too late
Maybe we'll turn it all around
'Cause it's not too late
It's never too late (It's never too late)
It's not too late
It's never too late

Never Too late is Three Days Grace's third single from their second single, which is called One-X.

This song reached number one at the MuchMusic Countdown on June 29th for one week. It also reached top of the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. Some radio stations change the "end your life" phrase to "change your life" as the suicide reference in the song may be considered inappropriate. This song is also on Now! 26 in the U.S.

Adam Gontier (Lead vocals) explained that the song is about "being in a very dark place, but being able to see a way out" and "feeling like you don't belong here, wanting to give up, but never giving up." The song was featured in a promo for the TV show Eleventh Hour. The video shows a girl in her room with a man walking up to her and touching her shoulder. Later on in the video, the girl and her parents start dancing in circles, but the parent's have their eyes taped over, meaning that they can't see what's been going on. The man that was touching her shoulder is the girl's abuser. Then it cuts to the scene where the girl is older and being tied to a bed in what looks like a hospital. At the end of the video she gets off the bed, showing that it's "never too late".

  • I was ON MY OWN after RUNNING AWAY from the RIOT that injured me badly. I was but ONE-X in a empty street as I thought it was NEVER TOO LATE even though it really was. I crawled into the corner like the ANIMAL I HAVE BECOME and held my chest in PAIN. I thought to myself that IT'S ALL OVER and that my TIME OF DYING was approaching. I kept thinking the same things OVER AND OVER again before I closed my eyes. Would I GET OUT ALIVE or would I just LET IT DIE? I would be GONE FOREVER either way.
