  • I really hope he gets the rights.. I think its a really good idea to use cg but still keep the same 'look' to everything. It will be keeping up with technology without ruining the show, unlike the 2004 film which was awful... I suppose if Gerry Anderson himself is in charge, the show's safe...

but won't the voices be different?

  • The may be able to get people like David Graham (Voice of Brains, Parker, Gordon & Kyrano) who can still do the voices of his characters fairly well. Perhaps a couple other such as Shane Rimmer (Scott) but appart from that, I suppose they would have to use new voice artists. Probably a similiar cast to that of New Captain Scarlet.

  • In the Daily Mail, Saturday 11th July 2009. It said He was desparate to remake it using the 21st Century Technology. He no longer owns the rights to the show - and, ITV, which does, won't let him near them. Remaking it is the most important thing in his life. He'll keep everything: Characters. principals, good voercome evil. But, new machines and ways of rescuing people.

  • CoolBoysBackYard I am one American who couldn't agree with you more on the 2004 version. Fortunately I didn't waste my dollars on seeing that piece of junk. Especially when I saw Thunderbird 2 for the movie, it looked like a bloated tick. I will always admire and enjoy the work Gerry Anderson and all who were responsible for the original series.

  • Gerry should have done the film (2004), if is was working title or Universal I would have gone up to Gerry & said look here's £20 million go & make thunderbirds. Do how ever you like aslong as it's good.

  • I'm sorry to say the film was terrible. Anderson was right in what he said a pile of shit. They decided to turn the Kyrano's into Indian instead of chinese & who the hell was the women with Kyrano & who the hell is fermat!, film was a usual American kiddy shit. I mean the series was mainly for kids but kept the adult entertained they made it realistic as possible. Though the film making the kids save the day, no affence that would never happen in the real world. End Of Part 1

  • Carlton have still disagreed with Gerry to the Rights

  • i agree completly

  • Thanks for posting this.

I have to say, this is a really awful interview - Dominic King really gets him off on a bad foot with that quip about his ex-wife!

  • oh kool, thank you.

  • No, He's still alive.

  • I thought Shame Rimmer had passed away... I believe he was in one of the bourne movies, is this true?
