  • What was your apeture set on. I know that the light from the window would of made the camera meter read wrong. I see using the flash and black reflector made softer lighting in the room.

  • Aperture was at f3.5. As far as metering goes... I got the right exposure first in manual mode by metering the window, and adjusting shutter speed. Then I added in the flashes. Flash being an instantaneous light source is not affected by shutter speed what-so-ever up to 1/250th of a second. After that it either goes away, or in the case of high-speed-sync, it just diminishes in power. Other than that, it's just like any other studio setup.

  • When you live on coffee and Red Bull, you develop the metabolism of a humming bird, but look at how fast you can move.

  • That was great.

  • Enjoyed the video. Thanks for taking the time to post it up.

  • when I turned my living room into a studio my wife was so mad... She was like "it took me all day to keep the living room clean and now u done it again"... So I do it again, and again, and again... and again...

  • Do Like the BIRD."Proudly located in central downtown studio parking. lol Models waiting in the queue to get in and speak with ME ME ME Birdie" Then post a million zillion testimonials about yourself and your grandchildren and bribe wannabe models with free BIRDIE pictures for BIRDIE Favors. hint hint .Now hang out in shout boxes or chat rooms talking about yourself all day and say anything for attention

  • Thats the way to do it. Been there done that. NOW if the gold diggers and haters from wannabe model web site could only see this and learn that one does not need a expensive studio or store front with huge overhead. I truly wish all of them wanbbe models all the best and feel special with Birdie ME ME Me Photographers working from a dieing city 12 story building. You know best baby.

  • Can you explain how the light meter works? Am i supposed to meter the brighter area in the room? For example you mention you meter the window area. Then after i get the reading what do i do? I have Alien Bee Strobes how do i adjust these to the correct reading. I always hear bring down flash to a certain F-stop but how? Sorry im new to all this.

  • hey thanks for posting this vid, I'm a memphian semi-pro photog, great lighting.

  • an its not artistic, it just seems wrong.

  • The horizon is going down in some photos, that's not the right way to present a photograph.
