2009 Women's Big 10 Cross Country Championship - 2 miles

Part 2 of 2:
The 2009 Women's Big Ten Championship was held at the Pennsylvania State University Golf Course State College, PA. The 6 kilometer course is located on the Western end of campus. The start/finish is near the corner of North Atherson (US 322) and West Park Avenue.

The morning of 1.November.2009 everyone had an extra hour to sleep, thanks to the end of daylight savings time. The race started at 11:45 am with temps in the 50's. The weather was calm and partly cloudy with a field in good running condition.

Participating teams where:
Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin.

Purdue won the team title with 71 points, the top individual was Bridget Franek with a winning time of 20:03. Race results can be found at:
