I played with Gary for a few years, nice dude and a HELL of a player/singer. Gary often sang a tune or two during our bar sets to give the front lady a break. One night she goes to start off "Some Kind Of Wonderful" for Gary to sing, except she starts in the WRONG KEY! She actually hit him with it up a FOURTH, and he still nailed it. I defy most people, even pros, to sing that song well in it's original key, let alone another half octave higher. Always a class act and a total pro.
