mortysand; Yes, you're 200% right. I recently saw him on Austin City Limits and was fascinated by his style and appearance. Style sounds alot like a Mexican Lucinda Williams. When he spoke about his health problems i understood this guy is real.
I only heard him today for the first time on Sirius Channel 18 - The Spectrum. This man is incredibly talented and I have so tangled up in his beautiful poetic music all day. I am considering taking a quick trip to Austin to see the city and this incredible talent. Wow.

I am sorry, but this guy is just an average talent. I really want to support him being that he is Mexican American like myself but you find guys like this on every corner bar in LA...Even better.
muchissimas gracias por este video. This song, and that guitar solo, they always make me smile! <3

beatbaker: You won't get many people who've been through hell like this guy. He's definitely NOT average.

This is Punk, not Tex-Mex. He is more NYC than anywhere else. Ramones, Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, even Sid and Nancy, the Dolls, you know the drill.
Thus, he is not, as road-weary as he may be, an "avrage talent." Bar bands do knock-offs, covers. This is not a knock-off; this is real.
