If the red car was stuck behind an obviously slow car, the cycle rider should have been aware that as soon as he got a clear run, the car might overtake. The rider should have waited a few more seconds before going for it. It's called defensive riding.

If you analyze this video you would see its the mistake of the biker. He chose to continue to pass even though his lane was closing. I'm a motorcyclist myself.

Driver's fault, biker had priority against the car. Car driver should watch him back in the mirrors...

this is completely the cars fault! it doesn't matter about the bike the car is trying to overtake when he isnt the last in the que witch is always dodgy because people normally overtake from the back plus he doesn't indicate or check and even if the bike is in a blind spot the car driver should have heard him!

BIKER'S FAULT!!! look ahead of the car, you can see a shadow!! the car driver didn't do this on purpose, the car driver wanted to overtake another car/bike and when he did the biker behind him (camera bike) tried to overtake both!! this is why if there are 2 or more cars in front of you then you must wait a bit before overtaking coz maybe one of them tries to overtake and then smth like this happens!! biker's fault!! he was too close and then tried to overtake and so was in the car's blind spot!

i have had car drivers try do this to me, they get quite upset about your passing them/going faster than them, all i can say is NEVER ovetake any car unless you are on the far edge of the opposing lane, not just for this reason but if you look at any overtaking accidents on youtube, the biker is always on the inner side of the lane while overtaking.
