  • Thanks to auti87 you are a real botanist! You must be a relative of Mendel!

  • I found any plant in a hanging basket after a while looses all nutrients and the roots gets compact, so the best it is to repot in a bigger container with new soil. and you get several pots out of that!

  • An internet research indicates the cactus with the pink flowers is a rat tail cactus (aporocactus flagelliforms)that grows in Mexico at high altitudes!

  • Sorry! The name spider cactis applies to a chubbier cacti! So botanists of the World come to my rescue to name this specimen! I bought some cuttings from a private home! Takes several years to grow to this size! It is pricky but very smooth as well as a natural Velcro! There is not anyrhing like that in yotube for the the time being!

  • UI have a question maybe you can help me out.

I have a spider cactus like you have in your video and it is outside hanging in a little shelter under a tree limp. The tips have started to turn brown, I am not sure why. We are in the hotest part of the summer.

    WHat do you suggest?

  • I believe the first cactus is an epiphyllum/nopalxochia. The second one is indeed aporocactus flagelliformis. the third one is another epiphyllum. the interesting thing about epiphytic cacti is that they are often easy to cross. so if u like suprises and to sow u can exchange pollen between ur 3 cacti and get seed. maybe the last one wont set seed cus the flowerstem is to long but u can use its pollen to make hybrids with the other 2.

  • wats its scientific name?
