Erma Franklin version is the best

I love the Janis and Erma versions. They are both brilliant and never equalled. ##Credit to Wikipedia here are some basic facts: ## Erma Franklin's original recording: 1967 The original version of "Piece of My Heart" was recorded by Aretha Franklin's older sister Erma in 1967. A top ten R&B hit in the U.S. also peaked 62 on the U.S. Pop Singles chart. ##Janis Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Company version "Piece of My Heart" from the album "Cheap Thrills" 1968

Madre de Dios, primera vez que oigo esta versión, me fuí de este mundo por 2:34 min.

@lindasongs I have to agree, the mixing is pretty poor, its really hard to hear her at times. :( I listen to tons of 60;s music and earlier, and the lead singer doesn't usually sound this lost in the mix, but its not Erma;s fault. :(
