From the early days of recycling in Toronto. Could Blue be from the same family of evil furnace faces seen in the Ontario Hydro ads a few years prior?

Actually, on the west coast of Canada, you look out in my neighbourhood and you will see nothing but blue boxes.
Our local retailers even sell the blue boxes in different sizes. The only green bins we have are ones with straps used for shopping.

blue box was started in kitchener, they test marketed as w pretty much everything: in kitchener ont.
the very 1st blue box was "recently retired" i think they r keepin it for the museum they r going to open in a few yrs :)
still ppl dont recycle
now we have green bins :)
