From a military view: It is stupid to allow them to collect their dead. It would be better to allow the dogs to eat at their bodies and demoralise their movement.

@Icix1 - hell no, if they get a hold of a body or gear it's all over the news saying that the taliban are winning, and if the US troops fire back, it will be on the news saying US troops killing innocent women and children. so in other words the media will ALWAYS be against the troops

Talibans r not soldiers or an reg. Military they shouldn't been given the right to pop smoke and collect there fears. Next time just pop them while they collecting the dead, I'm sure they would if they had a chance. Fight strong US soldiers! Prayers goes out to the brave men and womens.
