Maybe even just metal, in general... He's an instrumental, and lyrical genius.

@PatrioticFireworks all lars did was play simple beats really fast, example Dyers Eve. If you listen the song on drums would be easy to play slowed down. or if you had a double kick pedal

oh and dave is superior to kirk hands down. I dont even think that is a question to any true fan of metal.

ganselman is delusional. Lars is the most overrated drummer in metal. The only album he was good on was in justice for all and he really overdid it on that record.

@MegaLDeth I just saw them play Good Morning Black Friday live maybe a year ago, and rattlehead, and skull beneath the skin, and Dave said himself in an interview, I might be a born again christian, but don't take that the wrong way, I now believe that christ was here to save us and accept him as my savior, that doesn't mean I am a holy roller or anything, I'm far from it with a laugh.

@slicer841994 dude!!!! ok, you can say that dave doesn't sing as good as james...fine...BUT you can't say that nick menza is a less good drummer than urlich! not even close! nick is by far better! and david ellefson might not be like burton but he is by far better than newsted and truijillo! and as guitar team, megadeth are much better than metallica! marty friedman > dave mustaine >> kirk hammett > james hetfield! technically, megadeth are by far a better band!
