Zeitgeist: Spirit of the Age Refuted
Created by: BeitShalomMinistries
This film refutes the following claims made in the film Zeitgeist: -Christianity was borrowed from pagan myths? -The Bible was plagiarized? -Jesus wasn't a historical figure? -Christianity was created for social control? -The Bible is based on astrology?
"The first real parallel of a dying and rising god does not appear until A.D. 150, more than a hundred years after the origin of Christianity. So if there was any influence of one on the other, it was the influence of the historical event of the New Testament [resurrection] on mythology, not the reverse. The only known account of a god surviving death that predates Christianity is the Egyptian cult god Osiris. In this myth, Osiris is cut into fourteen pieces, scattered around Egypt, then reassembled and brought back to life by the goddess Isis. However, Osiris does not actually come back to physical life but becomes a member of a shadowy underworld...This is far different than Jesus' resurrection account where he was the gloriously risen Prince of life who was seen by others on earth before his ascension into heaven." --Dr. Norman Geisler

why can't any refutation to the zeitgeist movies be made against their claims on the intelligence content given to leaders and the purposes
Why don't religious people understand 666 was aramaic numerology for Emporer Nero, and all apocalyptic literature was using metaphors for current issues?

@DieOrBlink I clicked this expecting to seem an actual discussion of the movie. Not them talk extensively on what took up maybe a few minutes of the video and the video dismissed Religion as relatively unimportant, except in the believer's dogma could be a problem with having positive change.

All scientific credibility in the Bible goes out the window when the snake and donkey talk fluent Hebrew

Religion is the Opium of the people and allows governments to control the masses. As you can see from this video, it's using fear to keep everyone in place. The Zeitgeist movie provides facts, allows thoughtful consideration and offers hope.

of all the parts of zeitgeist why do people always get stuck on the religious part? It was almost insignificant compared to the rest. There is far more observable empirical evidence against Christianity and god in our every day lives using reasoning... Zeitgeist was another nail out of thousands into the coffin of god and religion.

Crazy to think that people believe this as fact. It's ok to not know what happens when you die kiddies....it actually makes living that much better

Total stupidity!
Time for change is here, get of your ego and do something anything to make a difference towards improving some strangers life no matter how small and or insignificant it may seem it's the collective effort that makes a difference, and things change with action!
Peter Joseph paints the picture clearly. And I say picture because we have become very visually inclined since the invention of television.
