  • I finally received a refund check for the original purchase amount from the warranty company in November. So it seems it took about five months for this to get resolved. I replaced this iron with a Reliable Velocity iron after reading all the great reviews on SewingPatternReview website.

  • Mine did not leak until the pressure cap gasket broke... which lasted over 5 years.

Are you sure you've got this thing tightened down?

You have to get it snug, then give it a few more turns.

  • @MarcoNoPolo: Not only did I have the pressure cap tight, I replaced it two times. I had a three year guarantee on it. I returned it, and the warranty people said that there was a problem with it. They offered to replace it for me for free. I bought a different iron instead. Still waiting for a refund check from the warranty group.

  • Yeah, looks like I won't be buying a Rowenta. I cannot STAND poorly made products!
