Might just be the scariest song I've ever heard.

Composed and performed by Goblin.

Directed by Dario Argento.

  • Making a remake of Suspiria is even stupider than shooting yourself in the crotch, which is something I would recommend the remake director to do right now.

  • Damn all these remakes! Hollywood needs to stop biting old stuff and create something new. Suspiria itself was a visionary movie by a visionary director. Only he can make it the way it should be made. If a remake is made it'll probably be nothing but gore, and it would be nothing but the cool moments of the first film without the things that made them special.

  • I heard some company was thinking about making Suspiria into an anime. While I am against remakes mostly, I could see this as an anime if placed in the right hands.

  • anyone know where to get the guitar tabs n tuning instructions for this?

  • if they remake so what? i can watch the original anytime. i've never once seen a remake or prequel that was better than the original. and if you're gong to tell me that this director can emulate argento's color schemes and soundtrack? you're gravely mistaken.

  • @Joorum the only thing I hope the remake does is bring attention to the original to an audience thats never seen it before. people like my sisters for example who detest films like this because of the cheesy actors, and dont see what the director intends them to see with his cinematography, will watch the original after seeing the shit remake.

  • Argento made music box & childrens lullaby music creepy. Since then it's been emulated in a lot of horror movies. Think Nightmare on Elm Street "One, two, Freddies comin for you".

That score in Deep Red the killer plays is fucking creepy. Who else would think about using something like that in a horror movie?

Just another example of the innovation of Argento's work.

  • The Thing (prequel) already looks like complete shit. I agree, stop the remake insanity

  • @Donatello97 Haha, I know what you mean. These days it takes one hell of a movie to either shut up the audience or make them scream.

Lucky you, try watching a horror movie in the theare in this day and age. These next generation of obnoxious tweens mess the entire experience up by laughing, playing with their cell phones and chatting it up all the time. God i wish i were in the 80's right now, 85' to be exact. ;D

Aside from Suspiria, i would loved to experience the original A nightmare on elm street for the first time.

My favorite horror flick of all time, that and Demoni, along with Supseria.

  • I saw this movie when it premiered in 1977, in a theater with a huge wrap-around screen and an ass-kicking audio system, which is the only way to really enjoy Suspiria. I'll never forget the experience. The audience was totally silent and paralyzed with fear. I've seen only two other horror movies with this kind of impact: the original Psycho and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Forget about the Suspiria remake. Nobody will pay attention. Legends must earn their status.
