The last 7 minutes of the dress rehearsal of Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings Symphony, Into The West, played by the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra. Singer is soprano Kaitlyn Lusk. Conducted by Ludwig Wicki. The first few words of the song are cut off, sorry about that.

  • Is this actually the lord of the rings orchestra...it doesn't look like it

  • It actually is, they're just dressed casually for the rehearsal.

  • Katilyn Lusk has the most beautiful voice. And I went to the same high school as her. What a sweetheart.

  • Was it a St. Louis high school? A couple of kids from my high school were in the children's choir. I was under the impression that they used all local talent for the orchestra and choir.

  • @Chizpurfle52595 The chorus groups (children and adults) and the orchestra are local, but the soloists (the woman, boy soprano, and occasionally a orchestra member like the violinist) are usually brought in special for the performance. I got to see Kaitlyn in Fairfax; she's traveled with the show for a while.

  • YEAH!!!!!

  • AWESOME:)

  • @Chizpurfle52595 She went to State College High School (right outside of Penn State University's campus). Her father is the trombone professor at Penn State

  • ;________;

  • every symphony song for lord ofe the ring is great song....

  • I saw her with the San Francisco symphony. People were crying. It was stunning.

  • Yes, it was local talent. The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra (with their conductor) and the St. Louis Choir and Children's Concert Choir.

  • 2.50 wow!!

  • This is a good rendition, but I still like the Annie Lennox version as my favorite.
