  • he isnt a pure bred is he? the face looks nothing like my dogs its a bit squarer

  • @D4nman - We're not entirely sure if he' s a purebred. He was a rescue dog and the vet at the shelter stated he was a purebred. He certainly acts the part too. - Chasing, herding, nipping, etc....

  • Thanks. He's a blast. More videos on the way.

  • Heh heh, our Australian Kelpie is called Max too. He's 5 going on 6 now. Lovely dog. He has the herding instincts but hasn't been trained as a working dog (tries to round up our horses but is never quite sure what he's doing!). He's a great jumper and ball-catcher though, and very, very fast.

  • So lovely

  • @Rock351 Very sweet! FWIW, part of what is so awesome about Kelpies is that they have been bred for traits like intelligence and endurance, not for some particular appearance. He sure looks like a kelpie to me. Soon as we let the breeders develop an appearance standard, it's the beginning of the end (cocker spaniel? Irish setter?).

  • Very cute kelpie is he a cross? How did you teach him to carry the blanket?

    Cheers

    Paul.

  • such a beautiful color

  • adorable!
