The anime has a decidedly retro feel to it because it is based on the works of Mitsuteru Yokoyama which were done back in the 60's, 70's etc...

Giant Robo is without a doubt one of the best anime's EVER! And it my personal favorite.

Ah. I see. Well there definently is some crazy stuff going on. However, it all comes together in the context of the story. Just know that EVERYONE in this series seems to have some kind of esper abilities (except for our young hero Kisama Daisaku, and he has a huge honkin' robot!)

Kinda' like how every knows how to use Kung Fu in Hong Kong action movies.

But, the series doen't take itself to seriously which I think is one its best qualities.

I wasn't talking about the retro art style, I'm talking about the wierd stuff that keeps happening. I love the art style and it looks like a good show, so long as it isn't trying to be serious.
