The historic & exciting Presidential election in 2008 gave a tremendous boost to the voter drive and presence at the polls for the "local" elections of Delaware County. Even the local political giant Senator Dominic Pileggi had to swallow the fact that he had lost his hometown (Chester PA) by a landslide to an unknown and first timer named John Linder. Although, it wasn't enough to win Senator Pileggi's seat it was enough to send a strong message to the ruling Republicans of Delaware County. Times are a changin'. Now that the high energized campaign of Obama is not around to ride on the question becomes can local Democrats kick the door down on the local elections hoping that the Obama wave hasn't dissipated to a complete dribble. Can history be made again only this time on a local scale? Can a Democrat gain the seat in the Delaware County Council? Pastor Keith Collins seems to think so along with his colleague Nancy Baulis.
