Uncharted 2 boasts one of the prettiest water ever, and in the later part of the game there is a section where water properly wobbles around in 3D (check at the walls) while rushing speedily. The transparency and multi-layers of thickness really makes this section unique as ever!

  • @Diegog5 Must be dreaming, even after so many updates, Crysis water does not react to user interaction... Resistance 2 water is the best yet! Both in ocean and in shallow places, it can be weird at places but the most technically advanced. Crysis water was simply animated and Crysis2 has extremelly rubbish flat textures for water!

  • People won't take me seriously when I say this, but LittleBigPlanet has the best water ever! I'd put it above even Resistance in terms of being dynamic. If you have that game, check it out.

  • @18T220 If KZ3 watr is pre-rendered, then wat were those waves? haven't seen the vid I guess, plz watch then tell ;)

    Also, I do get ur a noob, 4 wise-guy, wat else is tessellation for (Cry2-DX11) if they're not polygons hahaaha!, extra polygons placed just by GPU. Do they shift the watr body? nah, Since 2006, Crysis watr is sh!tz, only in 2011, with DX11 and 10x more resources than a PS3 is this game having interactivity, and wat gud is it 4, if its mere tessellated mesh, wd only surface FX?

    Most of Killzone 3's water is pre rendered. Crysis & Crysis 2 has realtime water effects. Stop being ass hurt because you have no money for a good PC. :)

    You need to watch this video again, If you throw things at the water in Crysis 2 Editor you will see the polygons move and react to objects proving that you're just making up things because you know you failed.

    Uncharted 2 gets totally owned.

    PS3 runs 720p x2AA on 95% of all games. My PC runs 1600p x16AA on all games. No point of comparing a Gaming PC to a PS3. PS3 is like an old mid-range PC from 2005.

    Crysis from 2007 looks better than Killzone 3 let alone the King of graphics Crysis 2 with DX11.

    Wait until the PS4 an you may see games that match Crysis visuals. I own about 15 games with better graphics than any console game.

    Enjoy you're old hardware and out of date tech poor kid. :)

  • @18T220 Again, da point is why Crytek needed 5 years and DX11 to run a shoddy water sim wd Quad Cores, dual SLIs n 8 gigs of RAM wen its being done much better n efficiently on 512mb RAM consoles? a big question :)

    KZ3 vs Cry2(fair comp, no DX11):

    /watch?v=5CBd6QX8nps

    Abv^^^ vid, KZ3 has better particles, glass fx, explosions and ofcourse water :)

    Shame, that wd DX11, Cry2 only looks 3x better than it is, though consuming 10x resources... why such a waste? need a thing called optimization ;)

  • @18T220 Dnt wory, I failed at no lvl ;)

    2k7 Cryss gfx r not under discusion and its not a console vs PC discusion, shows ur an insecure fanboy...

    Ur HL2 thing is a joke, evrybdy knows it was a flat texture, if not, show a vid where its water is interactive like Resistance2. Ur calling reflections shaders? chk again, no interactivity.

    Chk ur cry2 vid, its only surface fx, water body doesnt react, riples r only 1 sided, end quickly.

    KZ3 awesum water, no DX11 needed 4 dis ;)

  • @webclipper

    You fail on so many levels.

    Crysis from 2007 still has better graphics than any console game ever made.

    Fact is Crysis 2 with DX11 has more realistic water than any game ever made, Resistance 2 has simiar water physics to Half life 2 (2004) on PC only Half life 2 uses better shaders.

    Crysis 2 on PC is next gen, wait for the PS4 for these visuals.

    /watch?v=b291TfOUV-E&feature=related

  • @18T220 So crys needs DX11 to run just a shitty water simulation, so late and as a patch. Hah, big deal. Man, note 1 thing dwn, Resist2 did full water sim with 3D interaction in 2008, dat is da topest yet! yah Unchart2 or 1 aren't fully 3D water just as Crysis 1 and 2 r not, but they have full phy based riples at water interaction ;)

    And that Cry2 DX11sht stil sucks as da riples are simple and 2D(look at walls, no height)

    Uncharted1 in 2007(still abv Cry2):

  • @ENDORPHINSAM

    It is physical in Crysis 2, If you have Crysis 2 Editor and turn on the wire frame you will know this. If you throw something at the water the polygons react.

    Look at this video, you can tell its textures overlaying the water when he moves,

    Search ''crysis 2 dx11 water'' and click the first link.

    Uncharted 2 is 2 generations behind Crysis 2 on PC with DX11.

  • @18T220 No. those aren't physical reactions just shaders that have reflections to make it look like it is deforming when it isn't. Same thing with inFAMOUS 2. and, tech-wise the console version of the game was horrible compared to Uncharted 2, or even 3. but the DX 11 update is pretty awesome.
