This video shows:
How to observe obstructive deposits being flushed-out from drainpipes.
Arturo The Plumber used the "plumber's helper" tool, also known as a "snake" to break up solid food, fat and grease deposits built-up inside the drain pipes just beyond the kitchen sink where most food is drained out from.
When the washing machine rinsed water, which drained and intersected through these same pipes, the buildup deposits caused the water to back-up into the kitchen sink, filling the sink with dirty pipe and laundry water up to three (3) inches deep and creating a crack/leak in the 8-year old 0.5 HP Badger garbage disposal to crack a leak through the hard plastic exterior and draining water into the sink storage area.
After running his "snake" through the pipes several times and allowing how water to drain from the washing machine, Arturo The Plumber's persistence loosened the solid deposits seen in this video. The deposits are translated into black water (blackwater, or backwater). Watch as the water pours out; changing from black to clear. It was just the beginning, of course, because we repeated and rinsed as many times as was necessary to restore the normal flow of fluids through the pipes again.
