This MSNBC interview is when EE went national. People started talking about this ordinary family that made an extraordinary pledge. Are they racists? Or do they just want to devote a year of their lives to showing the world how beautiful it is to cherish and support your own? EE is about love and pride. It's about proving we can solve our own problems if we just come together and make little sacrifices. We will never forget this day. The controversy brought us to the national discussion, our positive, intelligent, family-based message will keep us there.

This was the day. Are you ready for a new American reality? The revolution CAN be televised.

  • When blacks start talking about things like this its natural for whites to get scared.

As long as they have us under their control its all good.

But let us start talking about having our own agenda then watch all hell break out.

    I support this 100 percent.

  • Power is nothing without control. We have great economic power, but have no control over our spending habits. This is a great idea, but SOME people are threatened by every damned thing we do, so they have to call it racist, though ultimately no one is harmed.

  • anytime afrikan people begin discussing supporting our own we are racist. other cultures support their own (we keep them rich). this system wants to keep our dollars divided to empower everyone else but us. this keeps r community at a financial disadvantage. we consume vs owning & distributing. we don't owe anyone an apology for our actions--support black businesses & circulate r dollars at least twice before they leave our communities. empower, stabilize & create jobs for our families. hotep

  • A ll these other groups of people made a choice long time ago to over look black business but when black people choose to support black people, then we're racist all of a damn sudden.

  • Darque Beauty, you hit on the head and of course you're right.

  • Good for them!! We have MASSIVE consumer power and corporations KNOW this. Stop letting them exploit us and start buying from our community. Good for them!

  • Good video, I don't think its racist, other ethnicities do support their own and some white people already only support white owned buisness lol, even if they don't come right out and say it.

  • Congrats you guys, and spread the word!

  • I commend your family...you definately have the Black community's support. I put the link to your website in my profile. More and more Black families need to make this pledge...

...THIS is REAL empowerment for the Black Community.
