Toyota Supra MK3 1000hp drag racing test drive

Our first test drive on the drag strip. 2JZ full built engine running on 28PSI around 1000HP with the GT47 turbo. There was no launch control, and we had problem with the traction too. We will improve the Beast for the next time :)

now i also have a MK3 with a 1.5jz making a lil over 1100 with e85 and gonna be shooting for 1300 on race .. now my question is what tranny are yall running

@JzSupra505hp hey, good to hear about another big hp mk3 :) I'm using an MK4 tranny a Getrag V160 with quad carbon Tilton clutch.

@bilbo1181 we will be ready at the end of this month, we had to build another head but the engine is allright after 3000km use on 2.2BAR.

@JzSupra505hp and about the expences: tranny brand new genuine Toyota V160 $5000, shifter parts (bracket, shifter, bushing etc) $300, and I paid $1000 for the custom drive shaft.

@supra2jzmk3 yes, it is hard to install. The shifter is located about 18cm backwards compared to the R154 so you have to cut the chassis. Custom tranny brackets needed, custom drive shaft etc. but is is woth of that! I can shift very quick with a short shifter and I had little problem only above 9500rpm to shift, not like the R154 that won't let you shift above 8000rpm. And lots of people said it can handle 1400hp continuously.

@supra2jzmk3 oh ok cool .. now was it a hard swap i have heard it was and exspensive thats why i stayed with a built R154 thats in it now .. but i would like to know if it was hard to do and about how much money to do the swap and is it worth the money to do it

most találtam rá a csatornátokra egy véletlenből kifolyólag, az egészet végignéztem hát mit ne mondjak... elképesztő mennyi munkát beleraktatok a pénzről nem is beszélve. minden tiszteletem a tiétek. látom a vége felé már volt némi fejlődés is fullhd kamera miegymás:) sajnálom hogy nincs több videó fent, esetleg képek készültek a szerelésről?
