This little video is a tribute to Nyac the otter, who was one of the two famous hand holding youtube otters that captured millions of hearts of millions of people. Nyac passed away last week and will be deeply missed.

@freakrunnerkc I agree, nice sentiment. Nyac was a joy to watch, she was so sweet, really special. It reminds us as to the large risk of an oil spill associated with the Enbridge proposal for supertankers off the Northern Coast, a rocky coast with volatile weather. Otters and many other marine animals call this area home, I believe we have a responsiblitliy to ensure their safety is not put at risk. BC has many other lucrative industries, including a growing renewable energy sector.

I also think Nyac would want us humans to remember when deciding about the Enbridge proposal for oil supertankers moving through Kitimat harbour of the Northern Coast of BC, of all the otters and other marine life that call the Northern Coast home. The weather is very volatile and the area rocky, it is not a matter of if but when a spill would occur, the impact to all the life would be tragic. BC has many other lucrative industries.

The Exxon Valdez oil spill in Prince Edward Sound, put many sea otters in distress luckily Nyac was saved. The Enbridge pipeline/super tanker proposal, involves the

great possibility of oil spills off the Northern Coast of BC home to many otters, and other species. With supertankers coming back and forth from Kitimat, in volitile waters it is not a matter of if but when there would be a spill, putting otters ect.. at risk. BC has a large renewable energy sector lets stick with this industry.

This is the first youtube video I've ever seen that NO ONE disliked. Thank you, humankind, for doing something right. Nyac, you've brought so much joy to so many people, and I'm happy to know that at least you lived for a long time in what seems to be comfort and happiness :)
