@ginzo7 he already had a hole and then blew another one without plugging the other one, he just got it really hot and blew really hard, I was young in glass when I asked that ;)
-
@mapexlb i believe that he puts more air in than can be let out fast enough though the bowl hole. the only thing else for it to do, is to expand the area being heated
-
Cool vid dude! LMAO what is it with glass workers and funk? I'm an amateur at both myself
-
if you blow hard enough air needs to find another way to escape. its like blowing a balloon with a hole in it if you blow hard enough it will fill up partially.. atleast thats how i do it.
-
how did you pop the carb hole without plugging the bowl hole?
-
Dang you love pipes and funkadelic. Fuck yeä :D

I am about to take a class on glass blowing and I was looking at your videos to kinda get a head start. They are awsome and very informative. Thanks for posting

awesome brother. I like the frit method. You should post some raking and the using of silver and gold ore as well. you rock for sharing. its been years since i blew glass and i wish i could get started again. Maybe you can email me a list of supplys id need to get rolling, minus the carlie torch and kiln. When i blew it was my freinds set up. again thanks.

--Well, I get my supplies from some locals stores. However I think you should all visit the Melting Pot. Its for lampworkers which are mostly pipe makers. Lots of info on there.
--I do know who Snodgrass is. I have actually had the pleasure of seeing him make some sick glass and got to meet him a few times(of course he doesnt remember each time). However, Snoddy is from Eugene...Im a city boy...Ptown. Eugene is Hicksville.

thanks for the kind words moony. I guess I am just used to my brother breaking shit. I have lost count of how many pipes he has broken. I dont really make them for him anymore unless I see cash upfront. But he is my baby brother...so when he asks for another I just sigh and say okay.

You do some beautiful work. The stringers were great. My only critisism would have to be that there was no "final product" shot of the cooled down pipe. I would've liked to see how the light caught the colors. Other than that, you work an amazing craft.

thanks. In most of my videos I display the final product, but my brother "lost" the pipe before I got a chance to take a picture of it. Next pipe video I will make sure to take a picture of the final product so come back and check it out.
