(Via http://www.mediamatters.org ) NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell stopped by the House Judiciary Committee to discuss the long-term impact of football related head injuries and the league's care for retired players.
Rather than focusing on the serious issue at hand, Rep. Steve King (R-IA) decided to grill Goodell over statements the commissioner made regarding right-wing talker Rush Limbaugh's failed bid to purchase a stake in the St. Louis Rams. Goodell previously said that "divisive comments are not what the NFL is all about," adding that he "would not want to see those comments coming from people who are in a responsible position in the NFL."
gov is involved bc Obama is in control of the unions, who have sold out to Karl Marx, whose NFL players contract is coming up for negotiation, so Goddell is running scared, so Rush under the bus. Communists must attack his free speech, such a mild remark about the media simply covering up for a black man. Hate how all the blacks are so willing to throw away their individualism by fabricating how that was "hate" speedh. Thats unconstitutional anyway, just a door to get Commie thought control.

All of professional sports is played on or in public venues that's why the government is involved.

Why is the government even involving themselves in this?
