Im not sure what this women is talking about. Is she speaking about the qualifications for a certain state? It doesnt take as much education or supervision in my state. She was a very bland speaker.

Again, I say that there is no such thing as a "good social worker" unless they are speaking out against atrocities their profession frequently commits - and gets away with often bc very difficult to fight them bc they R too powerful..........this is all based on my non-humble opinion.

@AUSNick87 What "Various Research" proves Social Workers often help ppl? And whom R they helping? Illegals? Also I don't trust any data put out by Gov that is very corrupt - U wanna make an argument abt "DATA" - give me DATA ~ not that I care abt it - too much of my findings over course of many yrs has repeatedly proven to me Soc Wrkrs do more harm than good & often abuse power that NO ONE deserves over anyone!!!

@bermudatriangle83 various research studies have found social workers actually do make a difference... what evidence do u have that suggests they dont?

yeah theres been cases where they havent acted right, but dont fault them all. im sure some have really helped alot of families. I'm really hoping to do my masters in social work after my 3rd year of uni! makes me nervous all the stick they get but im up for the challenge even if i can just make a difference to a few peoples lifes then it'll sure be worth it!! :D
