This is the final cut of our senior year film project "Fire and Ice" at Montgomery High School.

Besides producing, editing, videographing/filming and working partially on the sound design, I composed the complete score - which is available on my website: http://music.sebastianwolff.info/#fireandice .

YouTube quality is 320x240 pixels with mono sound. We filmed in widescreen at DVD quality and muxed the audio to 5.1 surround-sound. A lot of the intended cinematic experience is lost due to this, and is only available on DVD. If you would like to buy a copy: yes! They are on sale for $10. Send me a note here on youtube or an email: germanseabass@gmail.com

Our crew spent over $1000 making this film, and we have a bit of a deficit in our wallets to fill. If you want to see more great films, please donate or buy our film! Thanks!

Comments / feedback / suggestions are welcome as usual.

  • Where did you film this?

  • Mt. Shasta, in northern California. 6 hour roadtrip...

  • His limp switched a few times :P

And you spent 1k on the video? Does that include man hours?

    -Sarkon

  • No money spent on man hours.. unless you count the food it took to feed our team of 4...

  • The way it was filmed was very old fashioned. Such as not relying on Dialouge a lot more than music, shots, and such. I think that mad it really good! Nice job! The only thing I was un clear of was why is it called fire and Ice?

  • T'was based on some symbolism and metaphors we didn't get around to establishing too well in the film. Fire = life, Ice = death, etc. Thanks for enjoying it though!

  • sweet film. but thats what i hate so much about people. they think that the other person doesnt want to help them or something and they want to take revenge or get even or something. but in the end, they are still friends. at the same time, while i hate it, i love it cause thats what makes the story of something good. your a good story maker and a great piano player.

  • doch find ich gar nicht schlecht^^

  • Really great film. I'm actually working on mine now and I was told by our teacher that you guys made this movie and spent $1000 dollars on it so I had to look it up. I really hope I can get my film to be as good as this. Please let me know if you have any tips for me making my film. My email is mikeperryx3@yahoo.com if you got anything for me. Awesome film again and thanks for sharing.

  • @GermanSeabass oh i thought it was cause of the fire in the plane and the ice of the crash site

  • nett gemacht (nice work) but lo0kks extremely inspired or a copy of the last scene in Its all about love by Thomas Vinterberg..if you guys dont know that movie then try the way to hollywood

  • I loved the score, and the honesty of the story. "Would you save someone even though that same person has abandoned you before?" The perfect example of forgiveness packed in a movie of just 16 minutes which is filmed with limited means. Just amazing how you guys managed to do that. 5 stars and an absolute favorite!

  • Just amazing! I loved the score, and the honesty of the story, " If you could save someone even though the same person has left you before?" The perfect example of forgiveness, if you ask me. And you guys manage to do that in just 15 minutes and with so little means. Awesome job! 5 stars, and favorite!
